Kalaimanram was founded by late W.M Cumarasamy of Jaffna ,father of “Kalabhooshanam”shrimathy Thiripurasundari Yoganantham and Inaugurated by her guru,”Natya Kala kesari” “Isai perarignar” “Padmashri”Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiah pillai on the 21st of Oct 1958 after her arangetram held on the 18th of October 1958 at the town hall Jaffna.Thiripurasundari as principal and chief instructress in Bharathanatyam,Kalabhooshanam Sathiabama Rajalaingam in charge of carnatic vocal and Ram cumarasamy as director ,patron Shri Vazhuvoor Ramaih pillai ,kalaimanram since then continued to do dedicated service by teaching bharathanatyam to all who desired to learn this divine dance form.In addition to regular classes at the Institution, kalaimanram also held after school classes at leading schools such as Chundikuli girls college Jaffna,Arali Pandatheruppu and Isai kalai manram chavakacheri.
Kalaimanram has had more than fifty arangetrams in Jaffna during 1958-1986 ,and several Dance dramas which were produced by kalaimanram such as Bama Vijayam Kutrala kuravanji, ,Aandaal ,Kaveri and Sitham azhahiyar a combination of thevaram for the navalar vizha .In 1987 Kalaimanram was established in Colombo and since then continued its tremendous work with students who wished to have their arangetrams and also for students who wished to do their diploma which was awarded by kalaimnram.
Kalaimanram Produced the dance drama ,”dheivathai” for the 4th world hindu conference which was Held in Srilanka Colombo, and also has performed for the American brass ensemble,French cultural deligation and on the occasion of the visit of the arch bishop canturbury during his visit to Srilanka.
Kalaimanram has its branches in Australia ,Canada, France,Germany and in the United Kingdom.
SHRIMATHY RADHINI SIVADHARAN

Radhini Sivadharan daughter of “kalabhooshanam“shrimathy Thiripurasundari Yoganantham learnt Bharathanatyam under her mother at Kalaimanram and had her arangetram on 3rd July 1999 at Ramakrishna hall in Colombo Srilanka.
She showed keen interest in bharathanatyam and she was able to perform a solo dance at the age of four,which brought out her natural talent.She has taken part in all annual programmes and dance dramas produced by Kalaimanram in Srilanka ,and since her arangetram she has been teaching at Kalaimanram.While at school she was able to train students for special programmes and competitions which has won prizes and has been very much appreciated.She had the priveledge of performing for the Arch bishop of Cantourbury on his visit to Srilanka and the 4th World Hindu conference in 1995 which was held in Srilanka when Kalaimanram presented “dheivathai”Dance drama at Ramakrishna hall Srilanka.She also took part in many Tv Shows In Srilanka . “Sangamam” was an evening of bharathanatyam performed by Radhini to mark the Black History Month held in 2002 in the UK.she also performed in 2003 to mark the May Day celebrations at the heritage museum harrow.”Thirukoneshwaram was choreographed by the internationally renowned choreographer M.V.Narasimhachari and Radhini was selected to dance the main male part as Ravanan , at the Royal Festival Hall London.She has accompanied her mother in nattuvangam for many arangetrams presented by Kalaimanram, and has trained students for exams held by the N.C.O.M.S Srilanka and OEBL UK. and presently teaches at Kalaimanram UK.
Shri Yadavan -Composer and vocalist
Yadavan son of” Kalabhooshanam” Thiripurasundari and Mr Yoganantham hails from the family that is deep rooted in traditions of Karnatic music and bharathanatyam . He trained from a very young age in Srilanka, later studied in India under the renowned “sangeetha kalanidhi B Rajam Iyer” in Chennai. Yadavan holds a bachelor of arts in Indian music from Madras University , as well as a diploma from the music academy of Chennai for which he was awarded the “sangeetha rathna”title.
He also won the GNB memorial award for “The best male vocalist”in 1999music academy annual competitions and also broke records by being awarded nine other prizes in the same year.Yadavan has been performing on a regular basis in the UK, Switzerland,Australia,Newzealand,Srilanka, and India and is the Director of Kalaimanram.
